Abstract

This article discusses archive rescue management in the face of flooding disasters, focusing on the Jakarta area and the key point is in archive protection. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of archives that are potentially damaged by flooding disasters and what strategies and rescue processes are appropriate. The method used is content analysis with a quantitative approach. The researcher converted simple qualitative answers into numerical data that could be calculated to see patterns and trends in the community regarding their preparedness to save documents during floods. The results of this study are in the form of a questionnaire that will be calculated and analyzed descriptively in the form of numbers, frequencies, and percentages to show the level of community preparedness in each dimension. The results of the discussion of the study show a very good level of preparedness in document rescue efforts when flooding occurs. Almost all indicators show that respondents understand the steps for saving documents, have basic economic capabilities, provide adequate physical facilities, have methods or procedures for saving documents, and make optimal use of technology for digitizing and storing documents. These findings are expected to form the basis for the formulation of policies and strategies for saving archives that are more resilient to future floods.
