Abstract

Responsibility is a fundamental value that is important to develop in adolescents, especially those who are active in organizations. The Buleleng Regency Regional Children's Forum (FAD) is a forum for children's participation in addressing the issue of low responsibility among members, as evidenced by passive participation, absenteeism, and inconsistency in carrying out assigned tasks. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of psychoeducational intervention in improving the understanding and awareness of personal and social responsibility among members of the Buleleng Regency FAD. This study uses a case study approach with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and a Responsibility Scale questionnaire (12 items). The intervention took the form of a one-day psychoeducational training program entitled “Responsibility Training for Active Youth” using the experiential learning method. The results of the study showed a significant increase in cognitive understanding of responsibility. The average pre-test score was 20.6 (fairly good category). Qualitative analysis also showed an increase in role awareness, intrinsic motivation, and member commitment. Experiential learning-based psychoeducation intervention proved effective in increasing understanding and awareness of responsibility among FAD youth members. In addition, it is recommended that the organization hold regular reflection forums to internalize the value of responsibility on an ongoing basis.
