Abstract

Lately the term information literacy is often discussedthis awareness needs to be appreciated. Even in Indonesia it canbe said to be late, but considering the importance of the benefits of information for the development of the awareness that literacy should be developed. Information literacy is defined as one’s knowledge of the needs information, the ability to identify, seek, evaluate, organize and effectively create, use and communicate information for solving problems. Those Knowledges are a prerequisite to live in an information society and part of one’s basic right to lifelong learning. In a number of libraries that have implemented information literacy, some progress has been achieved. Indeed it is still limited in higher education, sothat information literacy programs in schools should be encouraged and realized. This literacy can be done through various programs: through user education during new student orientation, incidental activity, or to integrate IL into the school curriculum. To realize this agenda all librarians should continue to learn and develop their competences. Without it, they are impossible to carry out information literacy at the school.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan ini untuk Mengetahui Implementasi Teknologi Informasi Di Sekolah, Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Digital Siswa Dan Kompetensi Profesional Guru di Sekolah Dasar Buddhis Paramita Tanjung Selor. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif tepatnya deskriptif analitik. Pilihan pendekatan ini untuk memperoleh deskripsi “Implementasi Teknologi Informasi di sekolah untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa dan kompetensi profesional guru”. Penelitian ini di lakukan di Sekolah Dasar Buddhis Paramita Tanjung Selor. Secara keseluruhan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 5 bulan dari bulan April hingga Agustus 2023. Dengan jumlah 116 siswa, 15 Guru dan 10 orangtua wali siswa. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari : 1. Observasi, 2. Wawancara, 3. Dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan tiga metode instrumen penelitian yakni observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas wawancara dan perlu diperhatikan oleh peneliti diantaranya : 1. Jenis Kelamin Informan, 2. Perilaku Informan, 3. Situasi Wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : Di Sekolah Dasar Paramita Tanjung Selor sudah tersedia teknologi informasi dan sudah diimplementasikan bagi siswa terutama di kelas (kelas empat sampai enam) atas untuk meningkatkan literasi digital; Bahwa guru di Sekolah Dasar Paramita Tanjung Selor sudah mengenal teknologi informasi antara lain, Operasional Komputer, Interkoneksi jaringan Wifi dan Perangkat Teknologi Informasi, serta Aplikasi Teknologi lainnya dan memanfaatkannya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi professional Guru dalam proses pembabaran materi pelajaran, mekanisme presensi, pengumpulan tugas bahkan pelaksaaan laporan kegiatan pembelajaran dan silabus, sehingga dapat menunjang peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Kata Kunci : Teknologi Informasi, Literasi Digital Siswa, Kompetensi Profesional Guru.
