Profesi ini termasuk profesi spesial karena ia adalah pejabat umum dalam menjalankan tugasnya yang terikat dengan norma-norma yuridis dan kode etik profesi. Kode etik notaris menjadi kaidah moral yang ditentukan oleh perkumpulan Ikatan Notaris Indonesia (INI) yang menjadi pijakan menata atau mengatur tentang kode etik profesi notaris dalam hubungannya dengan banyak pihak, yang tentu saja harus ditaati atau dpatuhi oleh setiap anggota yang terikat atau mengikatkan diri dalam perkumpulan (organisasi) itu. Konsekuensi sebagai anggota profesi ini harus dipahami oleh notaris, karena bersumber dari sini, martabat profesi bisa dijaga.Kata kunci: notaris, organisasi, profesi, kode etik AbstractOne of the important professions is the public notary.
