<![CDATA[The research objective is to use remote access method for backup databases on institutional repositories web server. So that the institutional repository web administrator in a university library can secure the institutional repository database at any time. Using an experimental approach methodology with research procedures: collecting data and information about the SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System) application installation guide from a website reference; download the SLiMS application and supporting software from the website reference; installation of SLiMS applications and supporting software on personal computers; addition of user privileges on web server applications on the SLiMS local server; and backup the SLiMS database through user privileges on the web server application. The results showed that the remote access backup of the SLiMS database repository that was carried out through LAN (Local Area Network) networks was able to run stable and secure, because one path was only for one data transmission and communication.]]>
