<![CDATA[Education has an important role in developing the potential that exists in students. Good cooperation between educators and students is needed so that educational goals can be achieved well. Guidance and Counseling teachers as one of the educators have a very important role in guiding and helping students to develop themselves. The reality that occurred in the field was found that there were some students who at the time of Guidance and Counseling learning felt sluggish and doing other assignments, there were some students who thought the material presented was not interesting, Guidance and Counseling teachers were not able to direct them to their interests and talents, even there students who consider the Guidance and Counseling room only for students who have problems. This study aims to describe the perceptions of students about the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in the self-development of Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Junior High School students. This type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study amounted to 156 students. The results revealed that students' perceptions about the role of the Guidance and Counseling teacher in student self-development were in the quite good category.]]>
