Konsumen di Indonesia masih kurang memperhatikan label pangan. Mahasiswa ternyata juga tidak memiliki kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Kebiasaan tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, status diet, keterpaparan media informasi, pengetahuan tentang label informasi nilai gizi, dll. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian observational dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah stratified random sampling. Besar sampel penelitian yaitu masing-masing 24 responden dari mahasiswa angkatan 2013 – 2015 S1 reguler Prodi Ilmu Gizi FKM UNAIR dan S1 Prodi Statistika FST UNAIR. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah fisher’s exact. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,007) dengan kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Variabel pengetahuan (p=0,237) tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Responden perempuan memiliki kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi daripada responden laki-laki. Peningkatan edukasi kepada responden laki-laki mengenai label informasi nilai gizi perlu diadakan. It turns out that Students were also not have the habit of reading nutrition fact. These habits can be influenced by several factors such as gender, education level, diet status, exposure of media information, knowledge about the nutrition fact, etc. This study was observational study with cross sectional design. This study used stratified random sampling. Each of sample size consist of 24 respondents from 2013-2015 regular S1 Nutrition Department FKM and S1 Statistics FST UNAIR. The statistical test that used was Fisher's exact. The analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between gender (p = 0.007) with the habit of reading nutrition fact. Knowledge (p = 0.237) was not significantly associated with the habit of reading nutrition fact. Female respondents have the habit of reading nutrition fact than male respondents.
