Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) terintegrasi metode senam otak lebih tinggi dibandingkan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung terintegrasi metode senam otak. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dan random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi siswa dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent t-test dari data N-Gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan peningkatan kemampun pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) terintegrasi metode senam otak lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung terintegrasi metode senam otak. Hal ini berarti model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) terintegrasi metode senam otak efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.Kata kunci: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project, senam otak Abstract: This research was to know the increased students’s ability of mathematics problem solving which were taught by Missouri Mathematics Project which was integrated with Brain-Gym was highest than increasing students’s ability of mathematics problem solving which were taught by direct learning model which was integrated with Brain-Gym.The technique of collecting data in this research were purposive sampling and random sampling. The instrument of research were students’s observation sheet and test of problem solving. The data analysis used descriptive statistic and inferential with hypotheses test used independent t-testfrom N-Gain data of the ability of mathematics problem solving. The result of the research showed that significantly, the increased students’s ability of mathematics problem solving which were taught by Missouri Mathematics Project which was integrated with Brain-Gym was highest than increasing students’s ability of mathematics problem solving which were taught by direct learning model which was integrated with Brain-Gym. This case meant that Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) which is integrated with Brain-Gym was effective to increase students’s ability of mathematics problem solving. Keywords: The ability of mathematics problem solving, Missouri Mathematics Project, Brain Gym
