This study was performed to describe students’ workingreadiness using qualitative approach. In the data collectionprocess, the researcher became thekey instrument throughobservation, interview and documentation techniques.Based on the research result, it’s concluded that students’working readiness inSMK N 6 Yogyakarta was good. Thiswas indicated by(a) students’ readiness in the education orprofessional field, (b) students’ readiness in the social fieldand cooperation or human relation (c) students’ readinessin attitude and personality. Students’ working readinesscan be considered as the success of SMK N 6 Yogyakartain providing learning consistent with the orientation ofvocational education.
