Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VII B SMP Negeri 19 Palu pada Pokok Bahasan Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup

Abstract The objective of this research is to describe the application of cooperatif learning typed Numbered Head Together (NHT) to improve study output of the students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu grade VII B at study of creature classification. The research is a Class Action Research (CAR) these forces cycle. The subject of this research was thestudents of class VII B at SMP Negeri 19 Palu registered at 2013/2014 year that amount 19 students consisting of 10 girls and 9 boys. Techniques of collecting data used were a written test and an observation. Analysis data was qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the data and the analysis showed that students of class VII B at SMP Negeri 19 Palu has increase at Classical Learning Throughness, namely at cycle I obtained the rate 63.15% and cycle II was 89,47%. Besides, result of the observation for students’ and teacher’s activities in learning process was in criteria of good enough and good respectively. Based on the result, the reseacher can conclude that the application of cooperatif learning typed Numbered Head Together (NHT) can improve the study output of the students of class VII B at SMP Negeri 19 Palu at study of creature classification. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered head together (NHT) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 19 Palupada pokok bahasan Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan secara bersiklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII B SMP Negeri 19 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 19 orang, terdiri dari 10 siswa perempuan dan 9 siswa laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu tes tertulis dan observasi. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal, yaitu pada siklus I diperoleh sebesar 63,15% dan pada siklus II menjadi 89,47% . Selain itu, hasil observasi  aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berada dalam kriteria cukup baik dan baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered head together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 19 Palu pada pokok bahasan klasifikasi makhluk hidup.
