Abstract

Pada saat ini kendaraan roda empat memiliki sistem pengapian dengan distributor dan tanpadistributor/distributorless. Saat ini terjadi kecenderungan untuk meniadakan sistem distributor(distributorless) pada sistem pengapiannya. Hal ini dikarenakan pada sistem pengapiankonvensional memiliki banyak kelemahan diantaranya kerusakan pada platina, keausan padamoving parts. Dalam aplikasinya, kendaraan roda empat juga ada menggunakan sistemdistributorless.. Sistem ini lebih mampu secara tepat memenuhi timing ignition pada berbagaikecepatan untuk memperoleh proses pembakaran yang sempurna. Berdasarkan kelemahansistem distributor, maka dalam penelitian ini dirancang sistem open loop distributorless digitalmultipurpose yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembakaran. Untuk mengetahuiunjuk kerja sistem distributor dan sistem OLDDM maka dilakukan pengujian dan kemudiandibandingkan antara distributor dan OLDDM. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistemOLDDM lebih unggul daripada sistem distributor, tegangan dan arus baik primer maupunsekunder yang dihasikan mampu stabil pada putaran rendah maupun tinggi, dimana nilainyasebesar 11.9 V dan 21.5 kV serta 1.9 A dan 4.8 A .Kata kunci: Distributorless, tegangan dan pengapianRecently there are two methods of ignition system for a four-wheeled vehicle that is thedistributor and without distributor (distributorless). In nowadays there is a tendency to replacethe distributor system in the ignition system. This is because the conventional ignition systemhas many disadvantages including damage to the contactor part, wear and tear on movingparts. In its application, there is also a four-wheel drive system uses distributorless . Thissystem is able to precisely meet the ignition timing at various speeds to obtain a perfectcombustion process. Based on the weakness of distributor system, so in this study open-loopsystem designed multipurpose digital distributorless (OLDDM) is expected to improve thequality of combustion. To determine system performance and system distributor OLDDM thenwas tested and then compared between the distributor and OLDD M. The results show that theOLDDM is superior than distributor system. The result of voltage and current both primary andsecondary is stable at low and high rotation, where the value are 11.9 V and 21.5 kV and 1.9 Aand 4.8 A.Keywords: Distributorless, voltage and ignition
