PERSPEKTIF DISINTEGRASI BAGI MAHASISWA PAPUA DI GORONTALO

Abstract

ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana perspektif mahasiswa Papua terhadap tuntutanreferendum yang mengarah pada proses disintegrasi bangsa di Papua. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwaumumnya mahasiswa Papua di Gorontalo tidak sependapat dengan tuntutan tersebut. Hal ini dikarenakan tidakadanya diskriminasi yang mereka terima selama mereka di Gorontalo, disisi lain masyarakat Gorontalo sangatterbuka dan menerima keberadaan dengan penuh toleransi antara sesama. Adapun hal-hal yang menjadipertimbangan mereka tidak setuju dengan tuntutan referendum adalah 1) pada aspek pendidikan, mereka telahdiperlakukan khusus oleh negara melalui jalur masuk perguruan tinggi dan biaya pendidikan yang merekaterima, selain itu domisili juga menjadi pertimbangan dominan bagi mahsiswa Papua di Gorontalo dalam duniapendidikan. 2) Pemerataan dan kekhususan kebijakan pembanguan di Papua membuat mahasiswa Papua diGorontalo merasa kehadiran negara telah membawah efek perubahan bagi masyarakat Papua. 3) kecintaandan rasa memiliki terhadap negara sebagai faktor penentu mahasiswa tidak menyepakati tuntutan referendumyang mengarah pada disintegrasi bangsa.Kata Kunci : Perspektif, Disintegrasi, Mahasiswa Papua, GorontaloABSTRACTThis paper aims to see how Papuan students' perspectives on the demand for a referendum lead to theprocess of disintegration of the nation in Papua. The results showed that generally Papuan students in Gorontalodisagreed with these demands. This is because there is no discrimination that they have received while they arein Gorontalo, on the other hand Gorontalo people are very open and accepting their existence with full toleranceamong others. The things that are considered by them not agreeing with the referendum demands are 1) in theaspect of education, they have been specially treated by the state through the entrance to higher education andthe cost of education they have received, besides that domicile is also a dominant consideration for Papuanstudents in Gorontalo in the world of education. 2) Equality and the specificity of development policies in Papuamake Papuan students in Gorontalo feel that the presence of the state has led to the effects of change for thepeople of Papua. 3) love and ownership of the state as a determining factor for students not agreeing to thedemand for a referendum that leads to the disintegration of the nation.Keywords: Perspective, Disintegration, Papuan Students, Gorontalo
