<![CDATA[The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of lifeskills education (Life Skill Education) to provide children with special needs in SLB Bina PutraSalatiga to survive in society (research in the academic year 2009/2010).In accordance with the purpose, the research method used is descriptive qualitativemethod. In this study, the subjects were students of Bina Putra SMPLB Salatiga in the academicyear 2009/2010, totaling 13 students. The collecting data in this study is by using techniques ofobservation with the aim to find out directly about the Effectiveness Guidance private ofteachers in providing life skills education (Life Skill Education), types and kinds of life skills,barriers, difficulties in providing skills to students SLB Bina Putra Salatiga SMPLB level.To test the data used technique of data triangulation, researcher and triangulationmethodology. While the analysis pursued with data collection, data reduction, data presentationand conclusion.From observations and interviews can be seen that Children with special needs with thediversity of its characteristics will successfully learn life skills (Life Skills) which dijarkan withpersonal guidance of teachers as a provision so that they can later have the skills used tosurvive in society in days to come.Keywords : Life Skill Education, Children with special needs.]]>
