<![CDATA[Abstract (Title: Social Problems in the Novel "Di Batas Pelangi" By Achi TM). This study aims to describe the social problems of family disorganization and violations of community norms in the novel In Batas Pelangi by Achi TM. The source of research data is linguistic exposure that contains problems of family disorganization and norm violations. Data collection by reading repeated readings and recording. Data were analyzed using a sociological approach to literature. The results of the study are as follows. First, the family disorganization experienced by the Wijaya family in the form of lack of communication between family members. This matter has caused ignorance and lack of attention of Mr. Wijaya and his wife towards their children. Secondly, due to the lack of concern and attention of Mr. Wijaya and his wife on the lifestyle of their seven children, their children finally did things that violated community norms, namely drug use, theft, and abuse.Keywords: disorganization, family, norms, norm violations]]>
