This research examines the effect of studentâs perception on teacherâs competencies toward studentâs motivation at accounting subject in SMAN 1 Probolinggo. Population of this research are 192 students. Sampling method was done by stratified proportional random sampling. The results showed that there are possitive effects between studentâs perception on self competencies, pedagogict competencies, profesional competencies and social competencies toward studentâs motivation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akuntansi di SMAN 1 Probolinggo. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 192 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara stratified proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan terdapat pengaruh positif antar persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi pedagogi, kompetensi professional dan kompetensi sosial terhadap motivasi siswa.Â
