Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Strategi Komunikasi Sekda Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan

This study is aimed to examine the influence of leadership style and their communication strategy to the employee’s performance at the regional secretary office, south Kalimantan province. To analyze the leadership style researcher use two factors leadership theory by Fleishman and his colleague in Ohio State University. To analyze the communication strategy researcher uses Smeltzer theory. Base on the research by Indonesian Government Index (IGI) in 2013, the low level of employee’s performance is the main problem in regional secretary office of south Kalimantan province. This circumstance is caused by several factors such like leadership style and communication strategy. This study uses survey method and double regression test. The result simultaneously shows that leadership style and communication strategy have significant influence to the level of employee’s performance in south Kalimantan province, that is 74,8%. Key word: Leadership Style, Communication Strategy, Employee’s performance. ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Strategi Komunikasi Pimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai di Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan terhadap Kinerja pegawai. Untuk menganalisa gaya kepemimpinan, peneliti menggunakan teori kepemimpian dua faktor oleh Fleishmann dan rekan-rekannya di Ohio State University kemudian untuk menganalisa strategi komunikasi peneliti menggunakan teori Smeltzer. Masalah yang ada pada saat ini adalah masih belum optimalnya tingkat kinerja pegawai di Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan berdasarkan hasil riset dari Indonesian Government Index IGI tahun 2013. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor salah satunya seperti gaya kepemimpinan dan strategi komunikasi. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian survei dan uji regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian itu secara simultan (bersama-sama) menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan dan strategi komunikasi mempengaruhi secara signifikan kinerja pegawai di sekretariat daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan sebesar 74,8 %.
