Abstract

Penelitian ini bermula dari permasalahan yang di hadapi di TK Harapan Dharmawanita Painan bahwa kurangnya kemampuan anak dalam kegiatan membaca. Hal tersebut terlihat dari kurangnya kreatifitas guru dalam menggunakan media yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak sehingga anak mudah jenuh dan merasa bosan terhadap kegiatan yang diberikan oleh guru. Selain itu guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengajarkan / mengenalkan huruf pada anak, anak sulit untuk membaca kata pada gambar, anak kurang mampu menghubungkan gambar dengan kata serta anak kurang mampu menyebutkan kosakata yang ada pada gambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar keefektifan penggunaan media kincir kata terhadap kemampuan membaca anak di TK Harapan Dharmawanita Painan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.Kata Kunci : Media kincir kata; Kemampuan Membaca This research begins from the problems faced in kindergarten Harapan Dharmawanita Painan that the lack of ability of children in reading activities. This is evident from the lack of creativity of teachers in using the media to improve the reading skills of children so that children are easily bored and bored of the activities assigned by the teacher. In addition, teachers have difficulty in teaching / introduce letters to children, the child is difficult to read the words on the pictures, children are less able to connect pictures with words as well as children are less able to mention the vocabulary in the image.
