Abstract: This research is conducted for 1) developing the tutorial-model-computer-based social science learning media on the material entitled the seventh grade economic practitioner in SMP Bina Mulia Pontianak 2) recognizing the learning prescription of tutorial-model-computer-based learning media, increasing the student?s learning independence on a material entitled the seventh grade economic practitioner in SMP Bina Mulia 3) recognizing the profile of tutorial-model-computer-based learning media on the material entitled the seventh grade economic practitioner in SMP Bina Mulia Pontianak. 4) Recognizing the student?s independence on the material entitled economic practitioner through tutorial-model-computer-based learning in the seventh grade of SMP Bina Mulia Pontianak. The development procedure in this research adapted Borg & Gall and Dick & Grey?s development. The development steps consist of four steps; they are pre-study, the development of learning media, product evaluation, and the final product. The research results are 1) showing the learning prescription of computer-based learning made according to the essential tep components, 2) the appearance of development media profile is found very well by the material experts, teachers and students, as the result it is suitable as the social science learning media, 3) from the independence aspect, the students seem having been independent in answering the test items in the learning media.
