Abstract: Vocabulary is part of a number of words used in the language, also as a focus on language learning. By learning the vocabulary, especially the noun can help students using the Chinese to express their own ideas, and making simple sentences. Herefore, the noun in the teaching of Chinese language is extremely important. When author had teaching practice in the fourth grade at Christian Immanuel Elementary School 2, the authors found students often have difficulty in learning Chinese vocabulary .Based on statistical analysis of pretest and posttest teaching experiments, author concluded that teaching using image media can effectively improve students' ability to master Chinese nouns.The result of this research consist of  pretest multiple choice part its mean value is 82,42, posttest 95,45; matching word the average value pretest is 50.90, posttest 66.06. In choose a word based on the picture average value is 64.24, posttest 82.42. So research shows that the use of pictures can improve the ability of students to master nouns.   Key words   : Vocabulary, Nouns, Media Image
