<![CDATA[AbstractThis study aims to know the effectiveness of systematic approach to problem solving (SAPS) assisted self-diagnosis sheet to improve students' ability to solve the harmonic oscillation problem in SMAN 8 Pontianak. This study was Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest Posttest design. The instrument of data collection was using essay test, each consisting of four questions. 27 students of class X MIPA 1 as a sample selected by Intact group. Based on the data obtained the average score of pretest was 20.07 and posttest was 40.00. It can be concluded that there were differences in the ability of students to solve problems before and after being given using systematic approach to problem solving (SAPS) assisted self-diagnosis Sheet (p <0.05). Systematic approach to problem solving (SAPS) with self-diagnosis sheet assisted effectively to improve students' ability to solve problems with effect size of 3.61 (high category). This study is expected to be used as an alternative learning for students who have difficulty in solving problems especially in physics.Keyword: SAPS, Self-diagnosis Sheet, and Harmonic Oscillation ]]>
