<![CDATA[AbstractCritical thinking is reasonable and reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do. Student who think critically can draw reasonable conclusions based on the information obtained in a problem solving. This research aimed to describe students? critical thinking ability on the inference aspect in problem solving of Pythagorean theorem subject matter at Grade VIII SMPN 21 Pontianak. The research method used was descriptive and the form of this research was survey research. Subject of this research was students of VIII F Class which consist 33 students. The techniques of data collection were critical thinking test and interview. The results in this research shows that students? critical thinking ability on the inference aspect fall into the low category. Most of the students can?t afford to achieve the three indicators of inference aspect, such as querying evidence with score percentage 29%, conjecturing alternatives with score percentage 20%, and drawing conclusion with score percentage 17%.
