Abstract

AbstractThe influence of the Scramble method on the learning outcomes of IPS students class V. This study aims to find out how big the influence of the Scramble method on the results of IPS learning. This research uses experimental method with quasy exsperimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Population in this research is all student of class V State Elementary School 11 Pontianak City which amounts to 53 people. The sample of this research is VA class student as experiment class which amounts to 27 people and VB class as control class which is 26 people. Data collecting techniques used are measurement techniques and data collecting tools used are written test in the form of multiple choice which amounted to 50 questions. Based on the statistical calculation of the mean post-test of the experimental class of 82,83 and the mean post-test control class of 78,73. T test results obtained tcount of 2,343 and ttable (ɑ = 5% dan dk = 27+26 -2=51) at 1,677. It turns out that tcount (2,343) > ttable (1,677), means significant. Thus Ho is rejected, on the contrary Ha accepted. Based on the calculation of effect size (ES) of 0,69 with the medium category in the range 0,2 < ES < 0,8. So, it can be concluded that there is influence of the use of Scramblemethod on student learning in Class V State Elementary School 11 Pontianak City. Keywords: Influence, Method Scramble, Learning Outcomes, Sosial Science
