Abstract                                                                                             This research is motivated by the problem of parental support toward students' musical art achievement at SMA Negeri Pontianak. This study aimed to determine the correlation between parental support toward students' musical art achievement at SMA Negeri Pontianak. The method used is a survey method using a quantitative approach. This type of research is correlational research. The results of data analysis showed that there is a relationship that have positive and significant correlation between parental support toward students' musical art achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, SMAN 2 Pontianak, SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak, SMAN 7 Pontianak and SMAN 8 Pontianak academic years 2016/2017, this is indicated by the amount rhitung greater than rtabel (0454> 0361) and the significant value of 0.012, which is less than 0.05 (0.012>0.05). The results of data analysis also shown that students who have parental support in the high category were 12 respondents (40%), in the moderate category were 11 respondents (36.7%) and in the low category were 7 respondents (23.3%). Meanwhile, students' musical art achievement in high category were 6 respondents (20%), in the moderate category were 15 respondents (50%) and in the low category were 9 respondents (30%). Keywords: Parental Support, Students' Musical Art Achievement, CorrelationÂ
