KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS SISWA DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR PADA MATERI FUNGSI KUADRAT DI SMA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar pada materi fungsi kuadrat di kelas X SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 43 orang siswa. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis untuk mengungkap kemampuan representasi matematis, angket untuk mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar, dan wawancara sebagai tindak lanjut. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa visual memiliki persentase ketercapain 55,06% dan berada pada kategori sedang. Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa auditori memiliki persentase ketercapain 56,68% dan berada pada kategori sedang. Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kinestetik memiliki persentase ketercapain 55,71% dan berada pada kategori sedang.   Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Gaya Belajar, Fungsi Kuadrat   Abstract: This research aims to know mathematical representation ability of students with learning style in quadratic function in class X SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. The method that was use in this research is descriptive method with case study form. There were 43 students participated as the subject in this research. The instrument of data collecting are written test to reveal the student’s mathematical representation ability, questionnaire to categorize the students based on their learning style and interview as the follow-up activity. The result of data analysis showed that the mathematical representation ability of the students with visual learning style have percentage of reach 55,06% and it was categorized as medium. The mathematical representation ability of the students with auditory learning style have percentage of reach 56,68% and it was categorized as medium. The mathematical representation ability of the students with kinesthetic learning style have percentage of reach 55,71% and it was categorized as medium.   Keywords: Mathematical Representation Ability, Learning Style, Quadratic Function
