Abstract

Abstract The problem in this research is, "How does the application of the experimental method to the mastery of concepts in Sciences study graders V of State Elementary School 25 Sungai Raya?. This study aims to analyze how much influence the application of the experimental method to the mastery of the concept of class V students of State Elementary School 25 Sungai Raya. The method used in this research is the experiment method. Forms used experimental research is quasi-experimental design. Data collection technique used is the technique of direct observation and measurement. Data collection tool used was a written test in the form of objective tests. Based on the result the average post-test experimental class students was 68.41 and the average yield post-test control group was 58.39. This suggests differences in learning outcomes of students at study Social Sciences at the State Elementary School fifth grade 25 Sungai Raya. From the analysis of the t-test is obtained t_hitung amounted to 3.535 and 1.995 of t_tabel. This means t_hitung (3.535)> t_tabel (1.995), it can be said Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Obtained from the calculation of the effect size of 0.85 (high category). So it is concluded that there is significant influence on the application of the experimental method to the mastery of concepts in study Natural Sciences fifth grade students of State Elementary School 25 Sungai Raya.   Keywords: Experimental Methods, Control Concepts, Natural Science
