Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this study were the lack of interest in sport, the students are only interested in one particular sport, how much spare time the students have on gadget, and only few students participate in extracurricular activities. The aim of this study was to determine the level of physical fitness of grade XI of SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak. The method used in this study was descriptive research by using TKJI test (Indonesian Physical Fitness Level). The tests were conducted by 60 meter running test, elbow hanging test, sitting lying test, upright jump test, and 1200 meter running test. The subject in this study were 29 students of  grade XI TSM of SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak in the academic year 2019/2020. Data analysis was quantitative descriptive analysis with percentages.The findings of this study showed that number of students who obtained medium quality in  level of physical fitness were 9 students  while students who obtained low quality in level of physical fitness were 20 students. The level of physical fitness of grade XI TSM of SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak used quantitative descriptive analysis with a percentage, showed 31.03% students had medium quality and 68.97%  students had low quality in level of physical fitness. Keywords: pysical fitness
