<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab dan upaya mengatasi anak putus sekolah di Desa Sabing Kecamatan Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Alat pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan pedoman observasi, dan wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) penyebab anak putus sekolah, ditandai dengan kondisi ekonomi yang kurang, tingkat pendidikan orang tua yang rendah, keinginan anak membantu orang tua bekerja, dan karena pengaruh teman sebaya. (2) upaya mengatasi anak putus sekolah masih kurang, ditandai dengan kurangnya motivasi dan bantuan dari orang tua dalam proses belajar anak, kurangnya pengawasan dan dorongan orang tua, orang tua juga membiarkan anak bekerja membantu meringankan beban pekerjaan orang tua, namun orang tua tidak memanjakan anak dengan memberikan uang jajan yang berlebihan. Kata kunci: Anak, Putus Sekolah Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the causes and efforts of school dropout prevention in Desa Sabing Kecamatan Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas. Using the methode qualitative with analysis descriptive, the collecting data using the tools with the observation guideline, while the interview and documentation. In this result from the research is (1) Causes of school drop out, sign the poor economic conditions, the education parents very low , child's there hope to helps parents work, and peer influence (2) Effort overcome drop out children still less sign with the very low motivation and very lack the support froms the parent to the learning process of the children, lack of supervision and encouragement from the parents, the parents let children help ease the burden of parent work, but parents do not spoil the child which giving excessive pocket money.  Keywords: Children, Drop Out  ]]>
