<![CDATA[AbstractThis study aims to describe the form, type, meaning, and function idiom contained in the conversation and Dayak Behe Balangint's folklore. The method used in this research is descriptive method, and the form of qualitative research. The data in this study are folklore and conversations containing idioms in the Dayak Behe Balangint language. The source of this research data is folklore and conversation spoken by Dayak Behe Balangint speaker. The technique of Data collection in this study using the technique of free conversation, interviews, and recording techniques. Based on the results of data analysis can be found 39 Dayak Behe Balangint language idioms derived from folklore and conversations in the form of combined word. The type of idiom is divided into two, namely 30 full idioms, and 9 partial idioms. The meaning of idiom is a meaning that deviates from the element of the lexical meaning of the constituent in the context of the sentence. The function of idiom is closely related to the use of idioms that is to provide advice, satire, praise, and affirm a statement.Keywords: form, type, meaning, and idiom functions ]]>
