PENGARUH MODEL PBL (PROBLEM BASED LEARNING) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATERI LUAS BIDANG DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi ketika proses pembelajaran di kelas III SDN Cangkir Driyorejo Gresik, guru masih menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, yaitu pola pengajaran guru masih memberikan informasi, guru memberikan contoh soal, kemudian guru memberikan latihan soal, guru masih belum menggunakan model yang tepat untuk materi yang akan disampaikan, sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru. Hal ini mengakibatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran kurang optimal. Siswa menjadi kurang aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menggunakan Model Pembelejaran PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa kelas III pada penggunaan Model Pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Tes dilakukan pada saat sebelum perlakuan (pre-test) dan test setelah perlakuan (post-test).  Model pembelajaran PBL sudah terlaksana dengan baik.  Model Pembelajaran PBL menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini didapat dari uji t diperoleh thitung 7,099 > ttabel 1,672. Dengan demikian bahwa model PBL berpengararuh positif terhadap hasil belajar luas bidang pada kelas III SDN Cangkir Driyorejo Gresik Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran PBL, hasil belajar, matematika   Abstract The researcher conducted this study since the teacher teaching the third graders in SDN Cangkir Driyorejo Gresik, even now, were utilizing conventional teaching activity in which the teacher spoon-fed the information for the students, the teacher simply provided examples and exercises; the teacher were not using the proper model of teaching, thus it made the teacher stand as the focus of the teaching and learning process and the students’ involvement were limited. The students did not actively involve in the teaching and learning process. One problem arose was the low mathematics score of the students. Based on those reasons stated, the researcher decided to employ PBL (Problem Based Learning) Learning Model to teach mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the result of the third graders’ learning during the implementation of PBL (Priblem Based Learning) Learning Model. This study is quantitative research with quasi-experimental method. The research design used is Nonequivelent Control Group Design. The data collection technique used is tests. The tests are administered before the treatment (pre-test) and after the treatment (post-test). PBL Learning Model has been managed well. It shows significant findings toward the students’ result of learning. This conclusion is made based on the t-test which shows tcalculation­ 7.099 > ttable 1.672. Therefore, it can be concluded that PBL model provides positive impact toward the result of the learning of calculating area of the third graders in SDN Cangkir Driyorejo Gresik.
