Abstrak Pelaksanaan penelitian dilatarbelakangi siswa masih kesulitan memahami konsep abstrak dari sumber balajar dengan media pembelajaran yang terbatas sehingga pembelajaran terkesan membosankan, monoton, dan tidak bermakna. Akibatnya minat belajar dan daya serap siswa masih rendah. Diperlukan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, inovatif, dan komunikatif sehingga siswa tertarik untuk belajar yaitu menggunakan media komik. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan prosedur pengembangan media komik dan menghasilkan media komik yang layak dari segi kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian media komik ditunjukkan dengan penilaian skor rata-rata kevalidan sebesar 85,05% (sangat valid), rata-rata kepraktisan sebesar 94,4% (sangat praktis), dan efektif dalam mengingkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jadi, media komik pembelajaran IPA sangat layak dari segi valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata Kunci: Media, Komik, IPA. Abstract The implementation of this study is caused by the students which are still difficult to understand an abstract concept of the learning sources with learning media that is limited so the learning seems boring, monotonous, and not meaningful. It is because the students are less attentive to learn so it is necessary to increase the learning quality which are fun, innovative, and communicative through comic media to support. This study is aimed to explain the developing procedure of comic media and create suitable comic media from validity aspect, effesiency aspect, and effectively aspect. The methodology of the study used research and development. The result of the study can be seen in the mean of the validity score was 85,05% (very extremely valid), the mean of percentage result of effeciency was 94,4% (very effecient), and effective to increase stuidents’ ability. Therefore, media for science is very appropriate to use because of the aspect of validity, effecient, and effectively. Keywords: Media, Comic, Science.
