<![CDATA[Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah mengkaji lebih dalam mengapa dipilihnya Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje dalam meneliti dan memberikan nasihat kepada pemerintah Kolonial Belanda serta bagaimana peran Snouck Hurgronje dalam perkembangan dinamika Islam di Nusantara khususnya Aceh, dengan semua nasihat-nasihat yang telah diberikannya, apakah memiliki pengaruh besar pada keberhasilan pemerintah Kolonial Belanda dalam menduduki dan menguasai Aceh yang dianggap sebagai simbol perlawanan keagamaan terlama dan paling berbahaya di wilayah Nusantara, sehingga memberikan dampak yang besar pada keuangan dan administrasi pihak Kolonial karena terus menggelontorkan dana lebih demi memasok persenjataan perang. Penelitian ini juga turut menelusuri apakah perlawanan rakyat Aceh berhenti dengan berhasil di takhlukannya Aceh oleh pihak Kolonial Belanda. Untuk menggambarkan peristiwa tersebut secara valid dan kredibel, maka peneliti menerapkan metode penelitian sejarah yang bersifat deskriptif analisis dengan instrumen utama berupa studi literatur. Metode ini terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: pengumpulan sumber (heuristik), kritik (verifikasi), interpretasi dan penulisan (historiografi). Dari hasil penelitan tersebut ditemukan bahwa nasihat-nasihat yang diberikan oleh Snouck Hurgronje sangat berpengaruh dalam menaklukan Aceh, karena latar belakang yang ia miliki. Selain itu sebelumnya Snouck juga telah melakukan penelitian terhadap umat muslim baik di Aceh, Nusantara maupun Timur Tengah sehingga nasihat yang ia berikan tepat dan mampu membuat Aceh menjadi terpecah belah dari dalam dengan memanfaatkan para Uleebalang yang takut kehilangan jabatan dan kedudukan ditengah masyarakat Aceh. Hasilnya hal tersebut berdampak kepada takhluknya Aceh di Tangan Pemerintah Kolonial Belanda. Kemudian nasihat yang diberikan oleh Snouck Hurgronje mulai berganti menjadi lebih lembut dan manusiawi dengan tujuan merebut hati dan simpati rakyat Aceh. Walaupun begitu dinamika Islam di Aceh dengan semangat jihad dan perlawanan terhadap bangsa kafir Belanda terus dilakukan dibeberapa tempat. The purpose of writing this article is to examine more deeply why the choice of Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje in researching and giving advice to the Dutch colonial government and how Snouck Hurgronje's role was in the development of Islamic dynamics in the archipelago, especially in Aceh, with all the advice he had given, did it have a large influence on the success of the Dutch Colonial government in occupying and controlling Aceh which was considered as the longest and most dangerous symbol of religious resistance in the archipelago, thus giving a large impact on the financial and administrative side of the Colonial side as it continued to pour more funds in order to supply war weapons. This research also explores whether the resistance of the people of Aceh stopped successfully in the conquest of Aceh by the Dutch Colonial side. To describe these events in a valid and credible manner, the researchers applied a descriptive historical research method of analysis with the main instrument in the form of a literature study. This method consists of four stages: collecting sources (heuristics), criticism (verification), interpretation and writing (historiography). From the results of the research it was found that the advice given by Snouck Hurgronje was very influential in conquering Aceh, because of his background. In addition, Snouck had previously conducted research on Muslims both in Aceh, the Archipelago and the Middle East so that the advice he gave was appropriate and able to make Aceh divided from within by utilizing the Uleebalang who were afraid of losing positions and positions among the people of Aceh. The result was an impact on the emergence of Aceh in the hands of the Dutch Colonial Government. Then the advice given by Snouck Hurgronje began to change to become more gentle and humane with the aim of winning the hearts and sympathies of the people of Aceh. Even so the dynamics of Islam in Aceh with the spirit of jihad and resistance to the Gentile nation continued in several places.]]>
