Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan maksim kesantunan berbahasa mahasiswa dalam diskusi kelas menggunakan kajian sosiopragmatik. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan objek penelitian mahasiswa IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Data dan sumber data berupa tuturan mahasiswa prodi Pendidika Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia saat proses diskusi kelas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak libat cakap. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pada saat mahasiswa berdiskusi di kelas penggunaan bahasa yang dituturkan oleh mahasiswa tersebut penuh dengan unsur kesantunan. Unsur kesantunan tersebut berupa maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, maksim pujian/ penghargaan, maksim kerendahan hati, maksim persetujuan/ penerimaan dan maksim kesimpatian. Abstract This study aims to describe the maxims of student politeness in class discussions using sociopragmatic studies. This type of qualitative research is the object of research by IKIP PGRI Pontianak students. Data and data sources are in the form of speech from Indonesian Education and Language Study Program students during the class discussion process. Data collection uses skillful listening techniques. Data analysis techniques use interactive model data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that when students discuss in class the use of language spoken by students is full of elements of politeness. Elements of politeness in the form of wisdom maxims, maxims of generosity, maxims of praise/ appreciation, maxim of humility, maximal approval / acceptance and maxim of conclusions.
