Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model to increase inference skills in electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic. Analysis of the effectiveness was done through hypothesis testing by Independent Sample t-Test to looking for differences of the n-Gain of control and experiment class. The results showed that the average value of posttest of control and experiment class were 69.925 and 83.575, respectively, and the average n-Gain of inference skills of control class and experiment class were 0.471 and 0.712, respectively. So, it was said that problem solving learning model is effective to increase inference skills in electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic.
