PENINGKATAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN MELALUI KEGIATAN PRACTICAL LIFE

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to know the process and result of the lesson to improve the discipline character through the practical life. This study is classroom action research which consisted of two cycles. This study used the adaptation of Kemmis and Taggart’s design which consisted of four stages inevery cycle: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 11 students of group B PAUD Tunas Harapan Muara enim. The data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The success indicator of this study was if the percentage of discipline character reached ≥71%. The research result shows that the discipline character after the use of practical life increases. Evidenced by an average understanding of discipline characterscore of 35 pre-intervention, then increased in the first cycle of the second cycle of 53 and 69,09.practical life can be a solution the increase of the discipline character of group B PAUD Tunas Harapan Muara enim. Keyword: Discipline character, Practical life, Early childhood education Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil karakter disiplin melalui practical life. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Penelitian ini menggunakan adaptasi dari desain Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri atas empat tahap untuk setiap siklus, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 11 anak kelompok B PAUD Tunas Harapan Muara enim. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara diskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator keberhasilan dari penelitian ini adalah apabila persentase karakter disiplin anak mencapai≥71%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter disiplin melalui practical life dapat meningkat, dibuktikan dengan rata-rata skor karakter disiplin pada pra-intervensi sebesar 35, kemudian meningkat pada siklus kesatu sebesar 53 dan siklus kedua sebesar 69,09. practical life dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin anak kelompok B PAUD Tunas Harapan Muara enim.
