Penelitianini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pendidikan karakter kemandirian santri di pondok pesantren Al-Manar Kec. Tengaran dan pondok pesantren Annibros Kec. Suruh. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, danwawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pertama, Model pendidikan karakter kemandirian santri Al-Manar lebih diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran seperti: kuat aqidahnya, berakhlakul karimah, keilmuan yang memadai, tumbuh sifat kepemimpinan, bias mengatasi problematika di tengah-tengah arus globalisasi. Model pendidikan karakter kemandirian santri di pondok pesantren Annibros dilakukan dengan model keteladanan kyai, ustad, ulama’-ulama’ salaf terdahulu, mengkaji Al-Qur’an, Hadist, Ijmaq, Qiyasdan Jama’ah, menghormati yang lebih tua menghargai yang muda,. Kedua, factor pendukung pendidikan kemandirian santri pondok pesantren Al-Manar diantaranya:1) kyai, ustad atau guru, 2) kegiatan belajar mengajar meliputi harian, mingguan, bulanan, dantahunan, 3) santri, 4) orang tua, 5)lingkungan pesantren. Faktor pendukung model pendidikan kemandirian di pondok pesantren Annibros diantaranya: 1) kyai, ustadatau guru, 2) kegiatan belajar mengajar meliputi: harian, minggua, bulanan dan tahunan, 3) santri, 4) lingkungan pesantren, 5) kerjasama dengan masyarakat. Sedangkan factor penghambat model pendidikan karakter kemandirian di pondok pesantren Al-Manar diantaranya: 1) santri yang bermalas-malas,2) sarana dan prasarana. Faktor penghambat model pendidikan kemandirian di pondok pesantren Annibros diantaranya: 1) perbedaan bagraund bawaans antri 2) sarana dan prasarana. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Karakter, Kemandirian, Santri. This research focused to find out the educational model of the students`s self-supporting character in Al-Manar Islamic boarding house Tengaran and Annibros islamic boarding house Suruh. The approach in this research was qualitative research. The data was collected by using observation technique, documentation, and interview. The results of this research showed first, the educational model of the students`s self-supporting character in Al-Manar islamic boarding house was more integrated with learning such as having a strong belief, good morality, having adequate knowledge, growing leadership characteristic, and having an ability to solve problems in the middle of globalization`s stream. The educational model of the students`s self-supporting character in Annibros islamic boarding house was performed with the taking lessons of kyai, ustadz, ulama` prior salaf, studying the holy Qur`an, Hadits, Ijma`, Qiyas and Jama`ah, respecting the older people and appreciating the younger people. Secondly, the supporting factors of the education of students`s self-supporting character in Al Manar islamic boarding house includes: 1) kyai, ustadz or teachers, 2) learning processes on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, 3) students, 4) parents, 5) islamic boarding house environment. The supporting factors of the education of students`s self-supporting character in Annibros islamic boarding house includes: 1) kyai, ustadz or teachers, 2) learning process on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, 3) students, 4) islamic boarding house environment, 5) cooperations with the community. Meanwhile inhibite factors of self-supporting character building model in al manar islamic boarding house were: 1) Lazy students, 2) advices and infrastructures. The inhibite factors of self-supporting character building model in annibros islamic boarding house were: 1) differences of student`s background, 2) advices and infrastructures.
