ABSTRAKThis research aims to describe the ability of reasoning and mathematical connections students with structured learning partners approach scaffoding. The ability of reasoning and mathematical connections students could be improved after partnering with peer tutors in learning. This research was carried out at the place of the SMA N 1 Meliau 2015/2016 school year. Quasi-experimental design research method, to apply the scaffolding structured learning partners approach to the experimental group. Research results revealed that ability reasoning and mathematical connections students experiment group have elevated the 51.08% and 51.12%. While the reasoning ability and mathematical connection of the control group experienced an increase of 30.64% and 26.92%. Students' attitude toward the approach of scaffolding structured learning partners gave a positive response with an average of 89.33% in the categories strongly agreed. Conclusion of research 1) The students' reasoning and mathematical connections are improved by a scaffolding approach to learning partners rather than conventional learning. 2)The students 'attitude responded positively by applying scaffolding learning partners approach to improve students' reasoning ability and mathematical connections with the category strongly agreed. Keywords: Learning Partner, Scaffolding Structured, Reasoning and Connection
