AbstractThe purpose of this research was to know the effectiveness of multimedia-based learning on the economic learning outcomes of students of class X IPS in SMAN 1 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya.The method used in this research was experimental. The form was a quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample are X IPS 2 as experiment class and X IPS 1 as controll class. The sample are 53 students. The data was collected by using direct observation technique, measurement technique and documentary study technique. Based on the Independent Sample T-test with significance 5% or 0,05 indicated there were differences between students that taught by using multimedia based learning with students that taught by using conventional learning media. The average learning outcomes of students in experiment class is 76,04, while the average learning outcomes of students in controll class is 67,40.  The calculation of independent sample t test gained tcount value is 2,532, and ttable value is 2,012. The result show that the value of tcount > ttable or 2,532 > 2,012. So Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The value of effect size is 0,6687 with moderate category. So the conclusion is multimedia based learning gave effect on student economic learning outcomes grade X IPS in SMAN 1 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Keywords: Multimedia Based Learning, Economic Learning Outcomes, grade X IPS
