PENGARUH KONDISI EKONOMI DAN PERAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP MINAT SISWA SMP MELANJUTKAN PENDIDIKAN DI KECAMATAN ENTIKONG KABUPATEN SANGGAU

Abstract

Dasar penelitian ini adalah kesenjangan jumlah siswa yang lulus SMP Negeri dengan jumlah siswa yang melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang SMA di Kecamatan Entikong tahun 2013. Faktor yang diduga turut mempengaruhi rendahnya minat siswa SMP melanjutkan pendidikan diduga berkenaan dengan faktor kondisi ekonomi dan kurangnya peran orang tua dalam proses pendidikan. Adapun masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimana Pengaruh Kondisi Ekonomi dan Peran Orang Tua Terhadap Minat Siswa Melanjutkan Pendidikan?”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, wawancara dan studi dokumenter dengan alat penelitian berupa soal angket, pedoman wawancara dan dokumen pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh kondisi ekonomi orang tua terhadap minat siswa SMP melanjutkan pendidikan hanya sebesar 0,08% pengaruh peran orang tua terhadap minat siswa SMP melanjutkan pendidikan hanya sebesar 0,4% dan pengaruh kedua variabel bebas tersebut terhadap minat siswa SMP melanjutkan pendidikan hanya sebesar 0,8%. Kata kunci : kondisi ekonomi, peran orang tua, minat melanjutkan pendidikan  Abstract : The basis of this research is the gap number of students who graduated Junior High School the number of students who continue their education to the high school level in the district Entikong in 2013. Factors are thought to also influence the low interest of junior high school students suspected of continuing education regarding the factors of economic conditions and lack of parental role in the educational process. The issues examined in this study is "How to Influence Economic Conditions and the Role of Parents Against Continuing Education Student Interests?". The method used in this study is a quantitative research method. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews and documentary studies with research tools such as questionnaires about, interview guidelines and supporting documents. The results showed that the effect of economic conditions of parents of junior high school students 'interest continuing education amounted to only 0.08 % influence of parents' role to interest junior high school students to continue their education amounted to only 0.4 % and the effect of the two independent variables to interest junior high school students to continue their education only of 0.8 %.
