PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP SELF-CONFIDENCE DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI REAKSI REDOKS DI SMA

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine (1) The difference of students’ self-confidence between students which were given problem solving model and conventional model, (2) The difference of students’ learning outcomes between students which were given problem solving model and conventional model, (3) The magnitude of problem solving model toward students’ self-confidence, (4) The magnitude of problem solving model toward students’ learning outcomes about redox reaction concept at SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak. Method of this research is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Populations of this research are X grade students of SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak academic year 2016/ 2017. This research used purposive sampling technique to select the experiment class and control class. Tool of data collecting is self-confidence questionnaire and test. Based on data analysis, have found out that there is no difference of self-confidence between students which were given problem solving model and conventional model, meanwhile for the learning outcomes there is a difference of learning outcomes between students which were given problem solving model and conventional model. Problem solving model learning gave effect about 1,99% toward the increasing of self-confidence and 42,51% toward the increasing of students learning outcomes. Keywords: Problem Solving Model, Self-Confidence, Learning Outcomes
