Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan cara siswa melakukan problem posing matematis berbasis modalitas siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah aritmatika sosial di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Ada 9 orang siswa yang berpartisipasi sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 orang yang memiliki kecenderungan modalitas visual, 3 orang yang memiliki kecenderungan modalitas auditorial, dan 3 orang yang memiliki kecenderungan modalitas kinestetik berdasarkan hasil data angket. Kemudian subjek penelitian diberikan soal tes yang memuat ketiga modalitas tersebut. Selanjutnyasubjek diberikan wawancara sebagai kegiatan tindak lanjut. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa siswa tersebut melakukan problem posing sesuai dengan modalitas yang dimilikinya. Kata kunci : Problem posing, Modalitas, Aritmatika sosial Abstract: The purpose of this reaserch to explain how the 7th grader in class A of SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak pose mathematic based on students modality when solving social arithmatic problems. The methods that was used in this research is deskriptive. There were 9 students who were participated as the subject of this research. The subject of this research were 3 students who had visual modality tendency, 3 students who had auditory modality tendency and 3 students who had kinesthetic modality tendency based on the quistionnere. Then subjects were given test item than contains three modalities. The next, subject was given the interview as a follow-up activities. The result show that the students pose the problems based on their each own modality. Keywords : Problem Posing, Modality, Social Arithmetic
