Abstract

Abstract Dayak Kanayatn’s Language is of the language from Dayak’s sub clan that is still used as a communication tool in the economy, social and culture at Songga, subdistrict of Menyuke, and the regency of Landak. traditional musical instruments of Dayak Kanayatn are music instruments that is used by the society in the actualization of culture. The terms in the music instruments are being observe. The research problems are how to inventories the terms of traditional musical instruments of Dayak Kanayatn, how does lexical meaning and the cultural terminology of musical instruments of Dayak Kanayatn, and what is the function of the terminology of traditional music instruments of Dayak Kanayatn. The purposes of this research are to describe the terminology of traditional music instruments of Dayak Kanayatn, to describe lexical meaning and the cultural terminology of traditional music instruments of Dayak Kanayatn, and to describe the function of the terminology of traditional music instruments of Dayak Kanayatn. The research method is descriptive and in the qualitative form. This research showed there were 69 of inventories of terminology which are classified into form and meaning. There were 57 of lexical meaning and 21 of cultural meaning.  Keywords: terminology, musical instruments, meaning,  entholinguistic
