Abstract

 AbstractMinisterial Regulation No. 22 of 2006 outlines it through learning mathematics students are expected to have logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to work together. The results of TIMMS mention the level of creative thinking ability of students in Indonesia is poor. Giving an open ended problem is expected to encourage students to pour ideas more freely in accordance with the understanding that is not only fixated on one process of settlement. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of students' mathematical creative thinking on the aspects of  fluency, flexibility, and originality in solving the problem of open ended in SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. The form of this research is survey and the subject of this research are students of VIIIC class. The results obtained, average score on the fluency thinking aspect is 2.65 or 66.18% with the high categories. The average score on the flexibility thinking aspect is 1.59 or 39.71% with the low category. And the average score of originality thinking aspect is 0.82 or 20.59% with very low category.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Open Ended Question, Flat Face Three Dimensial Object
