<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi profesional guru dalam menguasai materi, struktur, konsep dan pola pikir keilmuan, menguasai standar kompetensi dan kompetensi dasar serta mengembangkan materi sosiologi secara kreatif di kelas X SMA Adisucipto Sungai Raya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional guru dalam pembelajaran sosiologi belum optimal. Hal ini terlihat dari ketiga aspek penilaian, guru hanya memenuhi satu aspek saja yaitu kemampuan dalam menguasai materi, struktur, konsep dan pola pikir keilmuan. Kemampuan guru dalam mengusai Standar Kompetensi dan Kompetensi Dasar belum optimal. Kemampuan guru dalam menentukan apakah standar kompetensi  dan kompetensi dasar yang harus dikuasai peserta didik termasuk ranah kognitif, psikomotor ataukah afektif sudah dilakukan tetapi tidak diaplikasikan guru dalam proses pembelajaran.Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan materi secara kreatif sudah dilakukan tapi belum optimal. Hal ini terlihat dari penggunaan metode mengajar, sumber belajar dan media pembelajaran yang masih minim. Kata kunci : Kompetensi profesional, Pembelajaran. Abstract:This study aims to article analyzing label Professional competence of teachers in mastering the material, structure, concepts and scientific mindset, mastering standards of competence and basic competence as well as developing the material sociology creative operates in class X SMA Adisucipto Sungai Raya. The approach used is qualitative approach  new articles using descriptive methods. The results showed that the professional competence of teachers in teaching sociology is not optimal. It is seen from the three aspects of the assessment , the teacher only fulfill one aspect , namely the ability to master the material, structure, concepts and scientific mindset. Teacher's ability to master the Competence Standard and Basic Competence is not optimal. The ability of teachers to determine whether the standards and basic competencies to be mastered learners including cognitive, psychomotor or affective been made but not applied to the teacher in the learning process. Teacher's ability to develop creative materials has been done but not optimal. This is evident from the use of teaching methods, learning resources and learning media are still minimal.
