Abstract

The problem in this study was that understanding the concept of science was not as expected. This study aims to determine the effect of experiential learning's model on the understanding of scientific concepts of early childhood. This research was experimental quantitative research with treatment by subjects design. The research sample was taken as many as 30 children using by purposive sampling. Data collection was done through observation and documentation, while data were analyzed by paired sample t-test. The results showed that there were differences in understanding the concept of science between before and after using experiential learning's model.Masalah pada penelitian ini pemahaman konsep sains belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning) terhadap pemahaman konsep sains anak usia dini. Penelitian ini merupakanĀ  jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat eksperimen dengan desain treatment by subjects. Sampel penelitian yang diambil sebanyak 30 anak denganĀ  menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data dianalisis dengan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep sains antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman.Kata Kunci: konsep sains, model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman
