Abstract

ABSTRAK KAJIAN PENENTUAN JARAK AMAN INSTALASI PRODUKSI HIDROGEN DENGAN REAKTOR RGTT200K. Salah satu metode proses produksi hidrogen yang dikopel dengan RGTT200K adalah menggunakan steam reforming dengangas alam (metana) sebagai bahan baku. Integrasi reaktor RGTT200K dengan pabrik hidrogen harus mempertimbangkan berbagai macam aspek keselamatan dan salah satunya adalah pemisahan jarak antara kedua sistem. Tujuan kajian ini adalah mempelajari sumber-sumber terjadinya kebakaran/ledakan untuk penentuan jarak aman antara instalasi produksi hidrogen proses steam reforming dan reaktor RGTT200K. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan perhitungan jarak aman berdasar persamaan R = k.W1/3. Pada studi ini, penentuan jarak aman pada integrasi RGTT200K dan pabrik hidrogen menggunakan rumusan berdasar referensi USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.91 dan massanya adalah ekivalen dengan massa TNT (kg). Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pabrik hidrogen dengan produk 160.000 m3/hari, menggunakan tangki penyimpan sebesar 400.000 m3, dengan faktor k adalah 8, diperoleh jarak aman yang dibutuhkan adalah 1 km. Jarak ini dapat diperpendek dengan menambahkan tembok penghalang tahan api dan memerlukan kajian lebih lanjut. Kata kunci: Pemisahan, jarak aman, instalasi hidrogen, RGTT200K ABSTRACT THE ASSESMENT ON SAFETY DISTANCE DETERMINATION OF HYDROGEN PRODUCTION  PLANT  WITH  RGTT200K REACTOR. The one of the hydrogen production process method coupled to RGTT200K is the utilization of steam reforming with (methane) natural gas as the feedstock. The integration between RGTT200K and hydrogen plant must consider many safety aspects and one of it is separation distance between these two systems. The purpose of this assessment is to study the sources of fires/explosionand to determine the safety distance between the steam reforming hydrogen production plant and RGTT200K reactor. The used methodology was literature assessment and safety distance calculation with equation R = k.W1/3. In this studi, safety distance determination in integration between RGTT200K and hydrogen plant was using equation based on reference of the USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.91 and mass on the equation was mass equivalent of TNT (kg). The results of the study show the hydrogen plant produces 160,000 m3/day, if requires storage tanks of 400,000 m3 (based USNRC equal to 1.859 million tons of TNT equivalent) with factor k is 8, based on the equation R = k.W1/3, so the requirement for safety distance is 1 km. This distance may be shortened by adding a fire proof wall barrier and requires further assessment. Keywords: Separation, safety distance, hydrogen installation, RGTT200K
