Background: Early childhood caries is known to affect the quality of life of children. Silver diamine fluorideis a desensitizing agent used for preventing and arresting dental caries. It is inexpensive and can be easilyapplied.Aim: The aim of the present study was to find the effect of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) treatment on theOral Health-Related Quality of LifeMethod: ECHOIS questionnaire designed to evaluate the child’s behavior, physical abilities, pain,temperament, and how well the child gets along with other people was distributed to the parents of childrenaged 1-5 with ECC with reversible pulpitis. The questionnaire has two components ie Family Impact Scoreand Child Impact Score. The parents were asked to fill the questionnaire at baseline and one month afterSDF application.Results : Significant difference was observed in the mean Child Impact Score(CIS) and Family ImpactScore(FIS) at baseline and one month follow up. SDF application significantly improved the quality of lifeof children(P<0.005). Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to check the level of significance in the meandifference of the CIS and FIS at the base line and one month follow upConclusion: Children with ECC after the application of SDF showed improvement in the quality of life atone-month follow up compared with the baseline as measured by ECHOIS questionnaire
