<![CDATA[Abstrak Kajian historis komparatif yang berkembang di Finlandia (Mashab Finlandia) merupakan sebuah model kajian sastra dan kebudayaan lisan yang sangat populer pada abad ke-19. Model kajian tersebut sampai saat ini masih relevan digunakan untuk mengklasifikasi tipe dan motif-motif dalam cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengklasifikasi tipe dan motif-motif dalam Cerita Rakyat Gorontalo menggunakan sistem klasifikasi tipe dan motif Aarne-Thomson dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menemukan delapan puluh Cerita Rakyat Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dua hal berikut. Pertama, cerita rakyat Gorontalo yang bertipe (1) Tales of Magic berjumlah 31, (2) Realistic Tales berjumlah 21, (3) Religious Tales10, (4) Animal Tales 8, (5) Anecdotes and Jokes 5, (6) Tales of the Stupid Orgre 4, (7) Formula Tales 1. Kedua, motif cerita Rakyat Gorontalo (1) Motif suatu perbuatan 23, (2) Motif tipe orang tertentu 23, (3) Motif penipuan 18, (4) Motif benda 7, (5) Motif suatu konsep 5, dan (6) Motif hewan luar biasa 4. Melalui penelitian ini juga dapat diketahui bahwa ada beberapa cerita rakyat yang memiliki tipe dan motif yang sama.Kata Kunci: Mashab Finlandia, Cerita Rakyat, Tipe, dan MotifAbstractThe comparative historical study that developed in Finland (Finland Doctrine) is a model of oral literature and culture study that was very popular in the 19th century. Nowadays, this model is still relevant to classify the types and motifs in folklore. This study aims to classify the types and motifs in Gorontalo Folk Story using the Aarne-Thomson type and motif classification system by using quantitative methods. The results found eighty Gorontalo Folk Stories and the results indicate the following two things. First, Gorontalo folklore with the type (1) 31 of Tales of Magic, (2) 21 of Realistic Tales, (3) 10 of Religious Tales, (4) 8 of Animal Tales 8, (5) 5 of Anecdotes and Jokes, (6) 4 of Tales of the Stupid Orgre, and 7) 1 Formula Tales. Second, the motif found in the Gorontalo folklore (1) Motive for an action 23, (2) Motive of a particular type of person 23, (3) Motive of fraud 18, (4) Motif of objects 7, (5) Motive of a concept 5, and (6) Extraordinary animal motifs 4.
