Abstract

Penelitian hunian prasejarah di Jasirah Leihitu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Pulau Ambon dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan permukiamn prasejarah di situs Morela. Tujuan dan manfaat daripada penelitian ini, antara lain : 1) Mendata kembali dan menggali potensi peninggalan arkeologi yang terdapat di Situs Negeri Morela. 2) Mengetahui kronologi dan konteks temuan arkeologi  Negeri Morela dan konteks keseluruhan temuan dengan situs lain disekitarnya. 3) Mengetahui hasil tinggalan arkeologi yang ada. 4) Berguna bagi penelitian-penelitian lanjutan dalam segala bidang ilmu, khususnya Arkeologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada perubahan perkembangan permukiman, yaitu dari permukiman di gunung, kemudian turun ke pesisir serta pola permukiman yang menunjukan pola makro antara hubungan temporal parsial situs-situs di Morela. Hasil penelitian didapat dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data; wawancara, survei, telaah pustaka dan ekskavasi.  Prehistoric residential research at Jasirah Leihitu Central Maluku Ambon Island conducted to determine how the development on the site of prehistoric settlement at Morela. The purpose and benefits than this study, among other things: 1) Collecting back and explore the potential of archaeological relics contained in the Site Morela State. 2) Knowing the chronology and context of archaeological findings and the overall context of State Morela findings with other sites around. 3) Knowing the results of archaeological remains there. 4) Useful for advanced research in all fields of science, especially Archaeology. The results showed that there was a change in the development of settlements, from the settlements in the mountains, then down to the coast and settlement patterns that show the macro pattern of partial temporal relationship in Morela sites. Research results obtained by using the technique of data collection; interviews, surveys, literature review and excavation.
