<![CDATA[Abstrak- Paper ini merupakan hasil analisa mengenai perkembangan geopolitik Indonesia dan Australia serta pengaruhnya terhadap diplomasi pertahanan kedua negara dalam kerangka comprehensive partnership. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, analisa data primer dan sekunder secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa comprehensive partnership antara Indonesia – Australia berjalan dengan baik melalui terwujudnya berbagai aktivitas diplomasi pertahanan, khususnya di bidang maritim. Implikasi kajian ini menyarankan tetap dibutuhkan keseriusan pemerintah terkait dalam membuat strategi diplomasi pertahanan Indonesia (Kementerian Pertahanan), strategi kemitraan strategis dan/atau komprehensif (Kementerian Luar Negeri), dan doktrin maritim (Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman) untuk pengembangan strategi diplomasi pertahanan khususnya secara bilateral.Kata Kunci: Indonesia, Australia, Strategi, Diplomasi Pertahanan, Comprehensive Partnership, Poros Maritim Dunia.Abstract- This paper is the result of an analysis of Indonesia and Australia geopolitical developments and their impacts on defense diplomacy between the two countries within the framework of the comprehensive partnership. This study uses qualitative research methods, analysis of primary and secondary data descriptively. The results showed that the comprehensive partnership between Indonesia - Australia goes well through the realization of a wide range of defense diplomacy activities, especially in the maritime field. The implications of this study suggest seriousness of the government still needed, concerned with developments of Indonesia defense diplomacy’s strategy (Ministry of Defence), strategic partnerships and/or comprehensive (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) strategies, and the doctrine of maritime (Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Field) for development of defence diplomacy strategy bilaterally in particular.Keywords: Indonesia, Australia, Strategy, Defence Diplomacy, Comprehensive Partnership, Global Maritime Fulcrum]]>
