Myxedema Coma

Abstrak. Myxedema coma merupakan keadaan hlpotiroid berat yang disertai dengan penurunan status mental, hipotermia, dan beberapa keadaan Lain.  Berdasarkan  demografi keadaan  ini terjadi pada O, l % dari seluruh kejadian hipotiroid dengan angka mortalitas mencapai  800/o.  Keadaan ini  biasanya dicetuskan  oleh suatu kejadian akut pada keadaan hipotiroid yang berat dan berlama-lama, Manifestasi klinisnya beragam yang terdiri dari kelainan ;  neuropsikiatri,  hipotermia,  kardiovaskular, respirasi, gastrointestinal, hipoglikemia, kelainan elektrolit, ginjal dan saluran  kemih.  Diagnosis dan penatalaksanaannya haruslah sedini  rnungkin  dan agresif tanpa harus menunggu basil laboratorium sebagai konfinnasi, guna menurunkan angka mortalitas yang masih sangat tinggi. Based of the demographics, this disease occurs 0.1  % of hypothyroidism cases with the mortality untill 80  %.  Myxedema  coma be  precipitated  by  an  acute event in  long-standing   severe hypothyroidism Its has protean clinical presentation consist of :   neuropsychiatricmanifestation, hypothermia, cardiovascular,respiratory, gastrointestinal, hypoglicaemia, electrolyte and kidney disturbances. Early diagnosis and agresively of treatment are essensial without  waiting the laboratory  for reduced the mortality.  (JKS 2009;2:91-95)Keyword  : Myxedema coma, hypothyroidism.
